Scientific Perspective on Hanumanji

The concept of the multiverse (multiple universes) is one of the most intriguing ideas in modern science. Interestingly, ancient Indian scriptures also contain stories that hint at the existence of multiple realities. One such story is about Shri Ram, Hanumanji, and the mysterious Viti (ring). Could this be an ancient representation of the multiverse? Let’s explore both perspectives.

Shri Ram, Hanumanji, and the Mystery of Patal Lok

When the time came for Shri Ram to leave the Earth, Hanumanji was blessed with a boon that he would remain alive as long as Ram’s name was chanted on Earth. Hanumanji could not bear the separation from his beloved Lord, so Shri Ram devised a way to send him away temporarily.

Shri Ram dropped his ring (Viti) onto the ground and asked Hanumanji to retrieve it from Patal Lok (the underworld). When Hanumanji reached Patal Lok, he met a sage who showed him not just one but countless identical rings. The sage explained that this was not the first time such an event had occurred—countless versions of Shri Ram had previously dropped their rings, sent a Hanuman to retrieve them, and then left the Earth.

Hanumanji was astonished—was this an infinite cycle of universes where the same events were repeating in different realities?

The Multiverse Theory in Modern Science

Now, let’s compare this with modern scientific theories of the multiverse.

1. What is the Multiverse?

The multiverse theory suggests that our universe is just one of many. Each universe may have different physical laws, histories, and even alternate versions of ourselves.

2. Scientific Theories Supporting the Multiverse

A. Many-Worlds Interpretation (MWI) of Quantum Mechanics

In quantum mechanics, every event has multiple possible outcomes.

The Many-Worlds Interpretation suggests that every possibility actually occurs in a separate universe.

Just like Shri Ram’s Viti appearing multiple times in Patal Lok, could every version of Ram’s departure be happening in a different universe?

B. Cosmic Inflation and Bubble Universes

The Big Bang theory suggests that the universe expanded rapidly, creating separate "bubble universes."

Each bubble could be a different universe, just like the multiple versions of Shri Ram’s Viti in the story.

C. String Theory and Brane Cosmology

String theory proposes that our universe is a 3D brane floating in a higher-dimensional space.

Multiple branes could represent different universes—much like the countless rings Hanumanji saw.

Spiritual and Scientific Parallels

Just as infinite versions of Shri Ram’s ring existed in the underworld, the multiverse theory suggests infinite versions of reality.

The idea that every action branches into multiple realities aligns with Hindu philosophy’s concept of Ananta Koti Brahmand (infinite universes).

Could the sages of ancient India have had an intuitive understanding of the multiverse?

---

Conclusion

The story of Shri Ram and Hanumanji presents a fascinating parallel to the modern concept of the multiverse. Whether through science or spirituality, both perspectives hint at the possibility of infinite realities. Perhaps, in some universe, another version of you is reading this article right now!

What do you think? Could ancient mythology be an early understanding of scientific concepts like the multiverse?

A Forgotten Bank Account, a Train Sprint, and Spicy Ghughra

So, I did a thing. I went back to Surendranagar. Yeah, that Surendranagar. The one I lived in for two years, in a hostel, for school. It’s been over a decade since then, which is a truly disgusting realization because, excuse me, where is time going? Last time I was there? Two years ago. Mission: Close my two ancient, long-forgotten bank accounts. Why did I have them? Oh, because back in my student days, they made us open accounts to receive scholarship money. I closed one that day, but the second one? The bank was like, “Yeah, come back in two days.” And I was like, “Haha, no.” Because making a special trip from Ahmedabad just to fill out paperwork? Not happening. But then, fast forward to yesterday. I needed a break from the office, and my brain went, You know what sounds like a fantastic getaway? Wrapping up unfinished financial bureaucracy. Also, having an unused bank account floating around makes me nervous. Like, what if some guy at the bank is out there using my non-e...

If I Could Be Stronger For Someone

Sometimes, I wake up and feel like I have nothing to chase. Not in a sad way, just in an I’m fine where I am way. Like, yeah, life isn’t perfect. Maybe my job isn’t what I want it to be, maybe my business isn’t growing like I hoped, maybe I don’t have that person I can be completely myself around. And instead of trying to change things, I just accept them. Because leaving, quitting, or even trying to start over feels like too much. But then I wonder—what if I had to be stronger for someone else? Take Tanjiro from Demon Slayer, for example. He didn’t just decide to become strong because he wanted to. He had to. He had someone to protect, someone whose life depended on him not giving up. And even when everything seemed impossible, when he could have just accepted that life was unfair, he kept going. Not for himself, but for Nezuko. I think about that a lot. How sometimes, we only push forward because someone else needs us to. How there are days when the thought of quitting my job, shutti...
